Q: Can your pet tell when it's treat time?

My cat always knows when it's 4 p.m.--treat time. It's uncanny. If he isn't already sitting in my lap, he'll jump up on the arm of my chair and try to worm his way onto my lap, which is usually occupied by my laptop. Even if I've lost track of time, I always know what time it is because Cody won't let me forget 4 o'clock!

Not only treat time, but also when it's time to get up, go to bed, time for me to come home from work. My one cat, Nikki also knows that on the weekends when I sleep in (after getting up @ 6Am to feed them and then go back to bed), when I finaly DO get up I will let him go outside with me and he sits and waits by the door. He never does that on weekdays because he knows he doesn't get out then!!!
They are SO smart.

Usually when they hear the treat bag crinkle they come running.

My gerbils know the rustling sound of their hay, and they get really excited when I open their tank to put it in.
