I agree with ethel102, if she's rough, stop immed. and scold her a bit. keep doing it until she realizes that she's not supposed to use her claws. It worked with one of my cats, but not the other.

never scold her when shes rough. cats learn whats too rough from their litter mates, but most kittens are adopted out when they're still too young to have learned everything. to have learned all of this, she should have stayed w/her mom and siblings until she was at least 12 weeks.
every time she gets too rough, give out a cry and walk away from her, ignoring her. this is extremely effective on kittens. ending play is such a big thing for them and when you use this method to correct her, she'll learn quickly whats too rough.
