All the guinea pigs I have ever owned never really needed a bath. I used the powder bath stuff on them though. My friends guinea pig loved water though and would play in it. From the books I have read on them they catch a chill and can get sick easily. So if you bath them don't do it often and make sure you get them really dry.

I rarely bathe mine but when I do, I use Selsun Blue with aloe shampoo. I bathe it in my tub and use a large plastic bowl with about 3" of warm, not hot, water in it. I place the guinea pig in it and use the water to wet it's fur. I don't do it's face. I lather well. Once done, I take the guinea pig out of the bowl. I have a second large bowl already filled with warm water and I use a cup to fill and rinse it off. You don't even need to use bowls but the first one keeps it in one spot and the second bowl keeps you from having to keep the faucet running. Once done, I take a clean cloth and wet with warm water to just wipe the face and around the ears. I have towels ready so wrap it in and blot off. I use a hair dryer on low, warm setting to dry it off. I comb with a fine tooth comb to get all the fur dry. I don't put it back in it's cage until it's completely dry. It's a good idea to have a pigloo or hut in it's cage to give it a warm spot. The only time I bathe them is if they lay in their droppings or their fur gets matted. They tend to keep themselves clean. Keep their cage clean and you won't need to bathe them.

Yes! But like the others said, make sure it stays warm and gets dry very quickly. I would do it in a small, warm bathroom in the sink. Towel dry and then you can blow dry with the dryer set on low. Just be sure to hold it far enough away that it doesn't burn the skin. I would keep wrapped in old towels and warm and out of drafts until completely dry.

I wouldn't bathe my piggies to often they really don't need it they bathe themselves you have to watch because they can catch a cold very easy and a cold in a guinea pig could be deadly i would only bathe them if they get smelly which is not likely if their cage is kept clean
