Q: Can someone PLEASE help from any Shelters, People, or Rescue Groups on this very traumatic situation
There are only 5 dogs left, and if they are interested in adopting, they need to request an application from CampWolfgang@Yahoo.com.
The recording also said that they need gas cards and sponsors for heartworm positive dogs. If they are interested in this, they need to call 972-415-1392.
I'm only updating this because I don't know how to delete this question, so I don't bother anyone else. :+)
This is so sad, this was sent to me this morning. I was hoping to reach out to anyone that could help, by adopting a dog, or knows any rescue centers or shelters or anyone that could help. The information is all below. (I currently have 3 dogs already). If anyone could help by contacting the individual below, that would be great!

A German Shepherd rescue group called Camp Wolfgang , in Ennis , Texas is closing down because of family issues on 31 October. I don't have any additional details, other than they are closing their doors.
All the dogs are vetted, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, well cared-for and many have had training.
They have nearly 200 dogs that must find a foster or be adopted before 31 October or they will have no choice but to euthanize them all. I am shocked by this and I hope you are too..
If you cannot help by fostering or adopting...YOU CAN STILL HELP!!!
Please forward this information to everyone you know....if we all forward this to everyone we know, chances are good that many of these dogs can be saved!
They do not need or want donations, they simply MUST place all of the dogs.
Adoption fees are $75..00, free to verifiable rescue groups.
Current dogs: (approximate)
>>>120 German Shepherds
>>>1 Anatolian/Great Pyrenees
>>>4 Purebred Rottweiler
>>>1 Great Dane/Lab
>>>1 St. Bernard/Akita
>>>45 Other mixed breeds
Time is of the essence!!
If you know anyone who can adopt, accept a dog into their rescue, or help in any way, contact Neisha Livengood, Kennel Master at Camp Wolfgang ..

Thanks to everyone for anything you may be able to do to help these dogs.

I hate to negate Lisa's answer, but this is very true. Camp Wolfgang is closing, but like Kelly said, most of the dogs have been rescued. Also, unless you're planning to rescue, I'd advise against contacting them as Lindsey suggested. They're getting 100s of calls & emails a day & have been spending most of their time in the kennels preparing the dogs for transport. Rescuers are having a difficult time getting through, so it wouldn't be a good idea to tie up their lines just ask them to confirm the story. There are news reports available online if you want verification. BTW, this isn't the only rescue closing. There are several across the country that will be closing within the next 2-3 months. Donations are down & the number of animals that have needed to be rescued has been climbing for a while. Many rescues are about to collapse under the strain of doing so much with nothing.

Hi Renee! I'm copying & pasting the latest email update I received on Camp Wolfgang, current as of Thursday, Oct. 22:
"At this time, all Camp Wolfgang dogs have been spoken for. If you are interested in adopting, please email us on Sunday to find out which dogs are available after all rescues have picked up their dogs.
Camp Wolfgang is still in need of monetary donations to go towards transports and to sponsor dogs going to other rescues. We are also in need of large and extra large crates for transport.
If you want to donate a crate, please drop them off at:
6234 FM 879
Ennis, TX 75119
If you would like to sponsor a rescue transport or sponsor one of the heartworm positive dogs going to various other rescues, please contact: Neisha (214) 755-1627
Audrey (972) 875-1597
** Please call these numbers only if you are interested in donating. If you are interested in adopting, please wait until Sunday and then email us."
