I'm so sorry you lost your home and your friend doesn't want a dog in her house...very sad.

Maybe look for some no-kill shelters or pet rescues. Or do you have another family member or trusted friend that can keep him until you get back on your feet??? Pets being displaced due to finances is now the norm these days.

I wish I could help but all I can say is good luck to you and I hope you find someone.

I am very sorry that has happened to you. My husband and I were in similar circumstances not long back when he lost his job. We almost lost everything. I wish I could help you I really do, I would love to take him in but we already have a pitbull and a german shepherd. I hope you find a home for him, maybe you could work something out with your friend where he could stay outside their with you until you get back on your feet. That way he isn't inside their home but you don't have to give him up. And their are plenty of benefits to having a dog outside, like protection and alerting to strangers, maybe your friend would be open to talking about arrangements. I am sorry you had to put your business out there, sometimes people can be pretty cold when they don't know the whole story. At least you are trying to find him a home instead of risking he be put to sleep. Maybe you could talk to one of your other friends and seeing if he can stay with them until you get back on your feet that way you can still see him and then you can bring him back into your life when you get settled. I pray you find a solution.......good luck. again I am so sorry.

I am so sorry to say this but it sounds like you are making excuses. If he is your dog of three years and you love him to death than he should be part of your family, and you would be willing to go out of your way to make it work for him. I recently adopted a german shepherd mix into my fairly small home. He is still a puppy but I take him for a walk every day, if not twice a day. And I plan on jogging with him when he gets older. Give your dog the exercise he needs... it will be good for both of you! Your dog has grown up with you and needs to live with your family.

POOR DOG. NEVER IN A MILLION YRS WULD I GET RID OF MY DOG... NO MATTER HOW SMALL MY HOUSE WAS. ID MAKE DUE!
WHEN YOU GET A DOG U ARE MAKING A COMMITMENT TO THE DOG TO LOVE AND CARE FOR IT FOREVER. I HOPE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND KEEP YOUR FAMILY PET IF YOU REALLY LOVE HIM.

Wouldn't you have more comfort knowing your dog is safe in your SMALL house - rather than being absued some where?! Give him more excercise!
I would never give up any of mine - for that reason. Never.

IM SORRY THAT YOU FEEL THAT YOU MUST GIVE YOUR FAMILY DOG AWAY BECAUSE WHERE YOUR MOVING WILL BE TO SMALL. , THE DOG HAS BEEN WITH YOU FOR 3YRS, HE KNOWS NOTHING BUT LIFE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! I GUESS IM NOT REALLY GONNA BE OF ANY HELP TO YOU BECAUSE IF IT WAS MY DOG ( IT WOULD'T BE GOIN ANYWHERE! ) .
