Q: Can someone explain how shelters mark a pet as adopted!

I manage a shelter and I just added the pictures of the animals at the shelter this week. I went in to mark the dogs that were adopted and it gave me a code. Am I suppose to enter this code somewhere? When one of pets is adopted should I mark that they are adopted or is there a way to just delete them. I thought the dogs new owner was to use the code but why did it give me the manager of the account a code? Please explain to me how this works. Thanks.

yes....you print out the listing from the zootoo site and copy it for the adopters. when they get home, they log on and put in the code. for each of these your shelter gets 200 points. The cats do need to be listed with zootoo to get the code number.

I believe you have to give the code to the adopters. They have in log in and submit the code for you to earn the points. Well thats how I see it. Hope this helps.
