Q: can dogs and cats eat gluten free pasta?

I bought some gluten-free pasta and didn't like it. I don't like throwing out food, so I'm wondering if I can feed it to my pets - mixed, of course, with organic pumpkin, meat juice & their favorite veggies.

Gluten-free pasta won't hurt your pets since wheat gluten isn't a natural part of their diet anyway, but neither are high carbs and grains, so pasta isn't an optimal food for dogs or cats. Their systems aren't designed to digest grains and other plant proteins. Also, some gluten-free pastas are made from corn which is difficult to digest and can cause allergies and skin problems.
