A Loofa dog is just a toy. My puppy loves to play wiht them more than any of her other toys and they are decently priced! you just tug on them very hard because they rip easy.

I bought Ginger a basketball player loofa and she loved it! She would play with it 24/7! But then whe chewed it apart, so I had to throw it away. :( But, she always chews apart toys.

It is just a toy. I went to the site of the company that makes them looking for some answers. It doesn't really say, other than that dogs can use it as a backscratcher.

I think it's just a toy. I have no idea why they call it a loofa toy though.
