Q: Can anyone recommend a squeaky toy that LASTS (at least longer than a few days)???

My 1 1/2 year old sh'peagle (GSD/Beagle mix) can chew through ANYTHING! I even bought a wrought iron daybed because she destroyed my couch. Even thick rope toys don't last as long as I'd expect. She loves squeaky toys and so do my other dogs, but she kills them and rips out their squeaker hearts in hours. I can't use the food-based Kong things because one dog will become food aggressive. They all live in the same place when I'm out. Any good chewing products that you can recommend? Thanks.

Yes. My brother has a puppy that destroys everything, and one day while shopping, I found a miniature tire for her. It looks just like a real tire except it's really small. She can chew on it and it's really durable.

Somebody could make a fortune if they could come up with a stuffy/squeaky that lasts longer than a few days:)

Will they play with a Kong without food? Mine will, sometimes. Otherwise, I have no good suggestions. My prior dog would not rest until the squeaker was dead so we had no toys where the squeaker lasted more than a day. Some of the toys have replaceable squeakers, but if your dog destroys the toy, you couldn't just replace the squeaker.

Kong products are the best. Perhaps you should not let the dogs together when there is food in the toys though. When confined to a crate, your food agressive one shouldn't be as bad. Good luck.

Kong has some squeaky toys out there. They last longer than the usual. I buy them and they are great, for me and my dogs.

Actually Kong makes a line of squeaky toys ,too. My guys have an ornage rubber cat shaped toy that they love. They are tougher than the average squeaky toy. I'd give those a try. You can find them at Petsmart, petco ,etc...
And you could prbably use the kongs without placing any food inside of them just to give them something to chew on.
Hope this was helpful.
