I am planning to catch a wild Blue Tailed Skink. I am wondering how to acommodate them and what to feed them. Handling tips, temp, etc. would be helpful!

It is always better to leave animals in the wild when they belong there of course there are some exceptions such as if you find a bird with a broken wing or you find an abondend baby animal then you should call animal control unless they would just put it to sleep then you can take it into your own hands. When you call them you should stay with the animal though cause it is unable to protect itself and another animal that is a predetor may come along and kill it and eat it other wise. I suggest if you want to do this call a wild life rescue center that rescues blue skinks fill out the proper papre work and then adopt one that can not be realeased back out into the wild there are alot of programs like this for wild life. When I am living on my own I plan on joning one for crows and letting them live with me and have happy lifes.

For a species such as a skink catching a wild one is not the best idea. You will never be able to handle him and they BITE.

I would buy one that was captive bred so it is accustomed to living in a terrarium and is used to handling. I don't know about temps and all that - its been awhile since I owned a reptile.

A wild born Skink will never truly adapt to the confines of a home terrarium. Besides if it is not raised around humans it will be aggressive and give you a good bite at any chance. Get a captive bred Skink if you want a pet Skink. As for diet I believe they eat insects...like crickets...but I'm not sure what else.
