Cats commonly get bladder infections. Hill's Science Diet has a formula of dry food specifically for cats with urinary tract problems. Ask your vet which kind that is and his recommendation.

Good luck!

When my calico was barely 3yo, she started developing bladder infections & ended up having three very large stones removed from her bladder. She's been on a prescription diet ever since & that has eliminated the problem. My vet said that magnesium was the cause of her problem, so a diet low in magnesium was mandatory. She eats Science Diet c/d. I also mix water with her canned food to increase her water intake & added a water fountain to get her to drink more water. Also its best to use bottled or highly filtered water since tap water also contains magnesium & other minerals. I'm surprised your vet hasn't put her on a perscription diet already since she's having recurring problems.

I think you should ask the vet that. They probably have some useful information.
