uncolorful fish, like guppies. Also you can put african dwarf frogs in with them but you'll have to make sure the frogs are fed bloodworms and the betta doesn't steal all of it. I have two African dwarf frogs and they are the easiest things to take care of, I love them.

small minnows, glass catfishes, gourami's, black molly's and platies are also good choices. however, you should always consider the tank capacity before adding fish.

also, because bettas are territorial fish known for their aggressiveness, each specimen may hase a different tank-mate tolerance. one betta may be too aggressive even to fishes of different species, while another may be okay to mix with the others.

and don't worry too much if you think your Sweet Pea is lonely, she probably isn't. bettas are built for solitude. it's sad but its true..
