What's the best brand for kibbles for shih tzus? I'm trying to choose among Canidae, Acana and Orijen, but I'm also open to other brands. I just want the best for my baby.

Orijen is the best, but the other two are only marginally below.

This is a great site to see actual ratings of dog foods: www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/

Anything 4 stars and up is an excellent choice. Orijen rates at the top of the list with 6 stars, while the other two have 5 star ratings.

All three of those are good. There are several quality foods out there. Some are easier to find than others. Jillian suggested a good site for you to check out dog food. Here's another one: www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

I keep these bookmarked because companies get sold and food ingredients change, so I check up on things regularly just to make sure. I know the site I gave you is updated regularly. You can also sign up for dog food recall alerts by email so you don't miss anything.

If you want the best and you can afford it go with blue buffalo not only is it really healthy but it also has no corn I would say though get what ever your dog likes as long as there is no corn in it my dog Skitters loves her Rachel ray nutrish food and it's the same with animals that it is with humans they like varitey so don't always get the same kind say you get chicken flavored food that is hard one time next time maybe get Lamb flavored soft food or Lamb flavored hard food.
