Q: Behavior problems
I need help!! We just baught a new home in the country on a fram with other animals(dogs, cats, and horses) our move in date is dec.1st. Im really excited but not for my dog. She hates other animals and goes nuts if she sees one. I can't even open my front door cause she will get outside and go after the animal it doesn't even matter what animal it is it could be a squiral and she will lose it. She saw my friends dog outside and was so upset that she couldn't breath I had to give her a bath for her to calm down. I don;t have much time but if anybody has suggestions I will greatly appreciate it, I don't know what to do. NO time for obediance classes!!

Ok you will need to get a behaviorist, obedience classes are not going to cut it. As far as not having time this is going to take a long time to work with. You need to find a positve behaviorist who will work with you to desensitize your dog to other animals. Make sure you avoid anyone who uses any kind of negative correction.
What I would do for starters, if you cant find a behaviorist, is leash your dog and hten go to a place where there are other animals. Stay at a distance where your dog is not reacting to them and say good dog and give him treats. Move closer and continue to treat. If you get closer and he reacts move farther away again in this way you will desensitize him to the other animals.
This may take months there are no quick fixes.
In teh meantime you will have to keep him confined and leashed to protect the other animals.

Why would you wait 'till now to ask what to do?? Your dog has been with you longer than the other animals, so make a really nice fenced area where he can be out & enjoy seeing things and where he will be safe & the other animals will be safe, and put im on a leash and give him nice long walks, it's a shame he wasn't thought of sooner and if you don't ave the time for training maybe you want someone suggest, finding a breed rescue ora n-kill facility, it will be hard because he hasn't been socilized and if you give him to the SPCA the odds are he won't find a home, I feel so bad for your dog.
