My dog started eating tomatoes off the vine and I'm wondering if it will hurt her?

I would ask you vet. I had a lab whos ear balloon up and I thought it was a hematoma. Took her to work (at a Vets) and asked my boss. The inside of the ear flap was real red and kind of peeling like a sunburn. He looked at it and said the other ear might do the same. It did. Turned out she ate too many tomatoes and had a reaction. I kept her away from them and her ears were fine.

Most say that red tomatoes in moderation are OK, though they do contain small amounts of atropine.

The stem and leaves of tomatoes are most dangerous, and green/unripened tomatoes are a close second.

I don't think so. I never heard such a thing. If you fed them a lot it would probably make them sick. Or if the dog had a tomato allergy.
