I have heard they are hard on the stomach of dogs.

Rawhide is not easily digestible. Some dogs have no problems chewing and eating rawhide, others may exhibit intestinal problems (loose stools) after injesting rawhide. Also, if you have a dog that will swallow a large piece of rawhide whole, it can cause blockages.

I give them to our dogs. I just make sure I get 100% rawhide and take it away from them when the pieces start to get small enough to swallow whole.

I don't think they are really good for dogs. I've even read some are being recalled. I do feed my 2 labs pig ears occasionally. Their daily treats are Cadet chicken breasts--all natural and all chicken. If your using the rawhide to help with gums and tetth, I've used frozen beef neck bone for years and have never had to have the dogs teeth brushed or cleaned

As everyone says, rawhide chewing is beneficial to dogs' teeth but the downsides generally outweigh the benefits. My alternative - a Kong bone with holes to put biscuits in.

I wouldn't recommend them. They are not easily digestible.

Rawhides are not good for dogs. They can't be digested well and are full of chemicals. Stick with someone natural like a bully stick

some dogs might like them too much and try to eat them down fast and choke on the! and if they also like them too much they might get aggressive over people coming near them when they are eating

I have heard the same and I'm not sure but for me I think the best and cheapest treats are in the meat department at the grocery store. I get smoked turkey legs, pigs feet and no dog I've had has not liked them or had problems after eating them.Another thing I used to do is cut up a steak give it a quick browning and put it in a baggie when I would be going on a long trip or doing training. Just a few alternatives to dry dog treats(which I still will use)

I don't like to give them to my dogs because they are hard on the stomach.

No rawhides are not good for your dog. They can not digest them and over time can bind the tummy up. Instead of rawhides try frozen carrots to chew on.
