Q: Are all cysts cancerous?
Mar 05, 2010
I have two Cysts in my neck and my doctor told me all they are are calcium build ups and have nothing to do with cancer (because i was really worried when i found them). i would imagine it would be the same for a pet. If youre really worried about it, before i even talked to a vet i would do a ton of reasearch on the subject myself. I would google it and even go to the library to see if they had any info on it.

I have a guinea pig that recently had two cysts. The vet lanced them and cleaned them out. She told me to squeeze them out frequently and apply neosporin to them. She also put her on an antibiotic. Cysts can be surgically removed, too, but cleaning them out cleared them up. Cysts are checked to make sure they aren't cancerous.

cysts are never cancerous they can be lanced and drained that usually does the trick along with antibiotics
