Animals on post

So i recently enlisted in the United States Air Force and i was wondering when i could take my border collie on post, if at all.

If you're off to boot camp, forget it.

If you're single and will be living in the barracks, I don't think you'll be allowed a pet. You would have to qualify for off-base housing to have your collie with you.

If you have a family and qualify for base housing, then you probably will be allowed your pet on post once you move in.

It has been over 50 years since I was in the Air Force but do not recall ever seeing a pet in the barracks.
