Q: Animal piercings good or bad?

I'm not into piercings and tats myself, but enjoy them on others as body art. I saw a dog with an earring pierced in its ear. Is this common? I don't know if it isn't, or I just haven't noticed it before. Would you pierce your furry ones? Even if they asked you to?

I've never heard or seen pets with a piercing. I would absolutely not pierce any of my pets. It doesn't seem humane to me.

I've never heard of that before. As a decorative thing it seems wrong to me since pets can't make that choice.

I agree. Any piercing should be their choice. I used to think (when i was little) that pierced ears would be cool on dogs, now I know it's just dangerous. But, people will be people, so c'est la vie.

Tatoos on the other had is usually the only way to identify your horse if it is lost or stolen - so I'm all for that (though I havent' done it yet).
