They are no exception. They should be treated just like anyone else.

You treat them the same as everyone else. That's a basic tenet of the law.

I think the maximum jail/prison sentence allowed under the law, along with the maximum fine if applicable. On top of that, I think that community service is key, but you need over 100 hours to really make people think. If you think about celebrities, they can pay whatever, but giving up their time really hurts. I also like the idea of being made to do public service announcements, and I think more of those should be done.

The maximum allowed by law, which sad to say in most states isn't enough. The judges always seemed to get blamed for a too lenient sentence but unfortunately many state legislatures do not give them the punishments to fit the crimes.

As for treating them like anyone else, I disagree. I think they should be held to a higher standard. They, for the most part, get special treatment because of their celebrity status. They have a national stage and are looked up to by many different people of all ages and particularly our younger citizens particularly those in sports and music. When they betray that, they should pay a heavy price.

The same sentence that anyone else would get. Jail time, community service and fines. They shouldn't receive special treatment because of thier status.

Anyone no matter who they are should receive the same punishment up to the maximum the law allows.

Everything I want to do would also be considered cruelty to humans. Felony offense and not into a federal pen either get them in the worst state prisons possible and let inmates take care of em.

well, i often wish people could be sentenced to what they subjected the animals/other helpless beings to, but i guess that's not an option :) in lieu of that, every state needs to have animal cruelty established as a felony, and then the sentences should be as strong as possible. if they get away with it, there's not much incentive to not do it again, nor does it set a positive example for the public that is surely watching.

A harsher treatment would serve as an example to the rest of the world that being a celebrity comes with some responsibility.
