Q: a dumb question

a dumb question

A bit off subject, but I'll ask anyway......

Last night after a great day I sat with the remote looking for something to watch and came across

King Kong

The new one, I've got a dumb question, why do they think they can do it better?

Would Gone with the Wind or Casablanca be better because technology has improved so much?

I don't think so, call me Old Fashioned or just plain old, but some things are better left the way they are.

King Kong is really a beautiful story, adding HD with enhanced imaging does not change that or make it better....

I don't know, give me a grainy Classic anyday.

What do you think?

The "remakes" are different, but not necessarily better. They may have better graphics/computer generated scenes, but it is the originals that stick with you for life.

No one can beat Fay Ray in the old King Kong. I agree some things are better left along.

I agree for the most part...some things should be left alone. I found out that they're making a movie of the 70's BBC miniseries "I, Claudius"....that should NOT be touched!
