I have a Blue Heeler and he sheds like crazy. I know people say different dog foods and other things can reduce shedding. I have the Furminatior brush and the kit and i use that often. Any other suggestions?

Has anyone ever heard of using the hair from brushing your dog to keep skunks out of your yard? Someone told me this will keep them away because the skunks don't like the dander in dog fur... thoughts?

My Pomeranian has such dry flaky skin. I'm not sure why but it seems like just the last year or so that she has this condition. She is 14 years old now. Could it possibly be age related ? I know. That sounds sort of dumb but I'm at a loss here.

My brother's guinea pig has really long, gross nails, so I tried to help him cut them yesterday. We used a dog nail clipper and a human nail clipper, but neither seemed to work very well. Any suggestions?
