Our upright,hepa filtered vacuum konked out the evening we brought our lastest adult longhair adoptee home. Any suggestions for a effective, light vacuume to use on hard wood floors?

My 2yr old pug-mix has a very dry cracky looking nose. Is it safe to use the same lanolin type rub that I use onl his paw pads for his nose?

Ive pulled them off at the head my self and put neosporin on the sore. they dont seem to mind.
