Where is a safe place to get an animal like a guinea pig or a chinchilla if my local humane society doesn't have any? I'm not getting any from petstores. I just need to know where is safe, I don't need to know anything else please.

A 5yr old DLH with feline herpes and a 6yr old,DSH who can occasionally get nippy and 2 5 mo old kittens I fostered are all longer residents at the shelter. What can I do to help get them adopted?

I adopted a 5 month old male terrier/chihuahua mix. The puppy is sweet and loves to play. The senior female Jack does not like to play and just wants to be left alone. She has never been animal friendly. Can this work? Things are not going well.
