Appalachian Horse Help & Rescue Inc

We work closely with the youth offender program in our area. Juvenile offenders come up to the barn to fulfill their community service hours. The get to work closely with the horses and learn about their stories, and at the same time, it gives them a bigger picture of the world around them. We also have BLAST kids come up and work with the horses. They are kids that need special attention after school. They come to the barn with their coaches and learn a trade, some have gone on to learn veterinary skills and animal care to work towards a better way of life when they are adults.
