You can call me Gus, I am a good boy. At least thats what my foster mom tells me. I wasnt so sure about myself before that, cuz my last people left me tied to a 6 ft chain for the first 2 years of my life. I didnt have shelter and I slept in the dirt and my own feces. I got food and water only when they remembered to feed me. I once got attacked by another dog and they just left me there with cuts and gashes. I remember someone loved me when I was a puppy, but when I got too big they just kept me chained up and only came to see me when they wanted to show off to their friends. My new mom broke me out of that prison! I have only been with her a short time, but I learn fast. I have learned to walk well on a leash, sit, stay, heel and I take treats very nicely. I am a big lug, but she tells me I am good and I am very happy now. I get along with other dogs, but have to be introduced slowly as I get very excited to meet everyone. Everywhere we go, people tell me I am terribly handsome, so I must be! I have lots of energy and I would be great for someone who is active and likes to go for walks.
